New Members are always welcome
The Port Chalmers School PTA is a dynamic, fun loving, willing group of people, all passionately committed to fundraising ventures to support our school. The money raised is used to purchase extra items and help support projects that otherwise would not be able to happen without our hard work and commitment. We are always looking for new and exciting fundraising ideas!
Past initiatives have included Quiz Nights, Entertainment Books, Fun Runs, Easter and Christmas Raffles, School Fairs, Disco’s, Artist in Residence – Kite Day, Calendars, Seafood Festival Stall, Sausage Sizzles and World Lunches.
Through these projects and initiatives the PTA has raised considerable amounts of money, some of which has enabled the purchase of a Climbing Wall, Community Notice Board, School Representative Uniforms, contribution to the lease of School Laptops, Hooded Barbeque, Trophy Engraving, Playground Marking, Polo shirts, Ukulele’s, Marimbas and Sun Block.
The PTA usually meets once a month in the staff room at 6.00pm (check newsletters for exact dates) and they warmly welcome all ideas and new members who would like to be involved in activities or on a more casual basis. Children most welcome.
